Day 1: Dushanbe
Meet the driver at the airport and drive to Dushanbe. Today you will have a guided city tour and visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. We will visit National, see Ministry of Inner Affairs as well as the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. In the second part of day we will walk to Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments as well as Asian bazar. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Iskanderkul Lake
Our tour today is to high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul (2 255 m. a. s. l.) located in the famous Fann Mountains. This is one of the best areas for a hiking tour. On arrival you will see beautiful beach with hot sand. We will hike 40 minutes to see a wonderful waterfall. Tajikistan is defined to be the second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources and famous for its highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Night is in a homestay.
Day 3: Iskanderkul Lake - Penjakent
In the morning we will travel to Penjakent. The city of Penjakent ("five villages") is situated in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a scenic Zeravshan river valley originated in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent in past times was one of the most significant cultural and crafts centers of Sogd and called "Central Asian Pompeii". It was a city with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses ornamented with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. The ruins were found only in the last century. On this tour you will see traces of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Night is in a local hotel.
Day 4: Penjakent - Khujand
Today we will have a tour travelling to Khujand city. On the route we will visit Istaravshan and its mosque. Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistan and can be found on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley. The population of the city is 149,000. It is also the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan, now called Sughd. In the second part of day you will visit a Cultural Palace of Khujand where the first president of Tajikistan was elected. Visit the Central Mosque as well. It is located in the middle of the city. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 5: Khujand - Dushanbe
In the morning we will travel to Dushanbe. You will pass over Anzob pass (3 372 m) and tunnel of Isticlol. The road is defined to be very beautiful where you can admire terrific scenery of Tajik mountains during our short stops. On arrival to Dushanbe, transfer to a hotel for sleep.
Day 6: Dushanbe - Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
